Carolina Canines is very proud to announce our latest Service Dog Team, Randall and Jacob. Randall, 11 years old, born with Cerebral Palsy, would walk with the assistance of two canes until she met her new helper and friend, Jacob. She has now traded one of her canes for the harness of her new furry friend. Randall came to Wilmington from Pawley's Island, SC with the hope that a Service Dog would make some of life's tasks easier. With an angel's face and a lot of determination, Randall endured three consecutive 10 to 12 hour days of training navigating stairs, opening doors, retrieving items, and much more. Randall commands Jacob as a natural dog trainer, learning all Jacob's many commands in just days, and knows just when and how much praise to give Jacob for completing a task. Randall and Jacob seem to be an extraordinary match and everyone at Carolina Canines wishes the new team the very best in all their endeavours as they continue to progress.

Jacob, a pure breed Labrador Retriever, was from an unwanted litter of puppies in Wilmington, NC but with some time and training, he soon found his place in one young girl's life and heart. As Randall and Jacob continue to bond, Carolina Canines will be there to assist in any way we can.

Congratulations, Randall and Jacob!
